Lisa Howze was born in Detroit, Michigan. She went to Cass Technical High School and finished in 1991. After high school, she studied accounting at the Ross School of Business. She also earned a special degree called a Master of Science from Walsh College.
Her Career in Politics
Lisa Howze is an accountant by profession. In 2010, she was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives. She represented the 2nd district from January 2011 to 2012. After her time in the House, she ran for the position of mayor of Detroit. She was part of the Democratic primary election for mayor.
