Lisa Loring (born Lisa Ann DeCinces; February 16, 1958 – January 28, 2023) was an American actress. She was most famous for playing Wednesday Addams in the TV show The Addams Family. She started this role when she was only six years old.
Early Life and Acting Career
Lisa Loring was born in a place called Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. At that time, it was a special territory managed by the United States. Her parents were in the United States Navy. They divorced soon after she was born.
Lisa grew up in Hawaii and later moved to Los Angeles with her mother. She started modeling when she was just three years old. She even appeared in an episode of the TV show Dr. Kildare in 1964.
Becoming Wednesday Addams
Lisa Loring is best known for her role as Wednesday Addams. This was in the popular TV show The Addams Family. The show ran from 1964 to 1966. She played the quiet and spooky daughter of the Addams family.
After her time as a child star, Lisa continued acting. In 1966, she joined the cast of the TV show The Pruitts of Southampton. Later, from 1980 to 1983, she was on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns. In this show, she played a character named Cricket Montgomery.
Personal Life
Lisa Loring had two daughters. She married her childhood sweetheart, Farrell Foumberg, in 1973 when she was 15. This marriage ended a year later.
She married actor Doug Stevenson in 1981. They had a second daughter together. Their marriage ended in 1983. Lisa later married Jerry Butler in 1987, and Graham Rich in 2003.
Her Passing
Lisa Loring passed away on January 28, 2023, at the age of 64. She had a stroke caused by high blood pressure. She died in Burbank, California.
