Liscannor Bay is a beautiful bay located on the west coast of Ireland. It is found in County Clare, a famous part of the country known for its stunning coastline. This bay is a special place where the land meets the Atlantic Ocean, creating a sheltered area of water.
Exploring Liscannor Bay
Liscannor Bay is shaped by two important points of land. To the north, you'll find Hag's Head. To the south, there is Cream Point. These two points act like natural borders for the bay.
Villages by the Bay
There are two charming villages located right on the edges of Liscannor Bay. The village of Liscannor sits on the northern side of the bay. On the eastern end, you'll find the village of Lahinch. Both villages are popular spots for visitors.
Rivers and Roads
Two rivers flow into Liscannor Bay. The Dealagh River and the Inagh River join together on the east side of the Lahinch Golf Club. From there, their waters flow into the bay.
You can also travel around the bay by road. The N67 and the R478 are the main roads that follow the outline of the bay. They offer great views of the coastline.
Nearby Natural Wonders
Just north of Hag's Head, the amazing Cliffs of Moher begin. These towering cliffs stretch along the coast, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. They are one of Ireland's most famous natural attractions.
