List of governors of Oyo State facts for kids
Oyo State is a state in Nigeria, a country in West Africa. Like other states, Oyo State has leaders who help manage its affairs. These leaders are called governors or administrators. They are in charge of making important decisions for the people living in the state.
Oyo State was created in 1976. Before that, it was part of a larger area called Western State. Western State was split into three new states: Ogun, Ondo, and Oyo.
What Do Governors and Administrators Do?
Governors are elected leaders who run the state government. They work to improve things like schools, roads, and healthcare for everyone in the state. Administrators are usually military officers who lead the state during times when there isn't an elected government. Both roles are very important for the state's progress.
