This article is about the women who have been the wives of the kings of Jordan. In Jordan, the king's wife is usually called the Queen consort. This means she is a queen because she is married to the king, not because she rules the country herself.
Since Jordan became a kingdom in 1949, all its rulers have been male. This means there has never been a Queen regnant (a queen who rules the country on her own). The king must officially give his wife the title of queen. If he doesn't, she is known as a Princess consort. So far, only one wife of a Jordanian king has held the title of princess instead of queen during her marriage.
