This article lists the people who have been the mayor of Anchorage, Alaska, United States. A mayor is the leader of a city or town. They help make important decisions and manage how the city runs.
Anchorage became an official city on November 23, 1920. Later, in January 1964, a larger area around the city was created. This was called the Greater Anchorage Area Borough.
On September 15, 1975, the city and the borough joined together. They formed one big government called the Municipality of Anchorage. Today, the mayor of Anchorage is chosen in an election where political parties do not play a role. They serve for three years. A mayor can only serve two terms in office.
