Welcome to Omaha, Nebraska! This city is home to some really tall buildings, often called skyscrapers. These amazing structures reach high into the sky and are used for offices, homes, and more. The two most famous tall buildings here are the First National Bank Tower and the Woodmen Tower.

Omaha's current tallest building is the First National Bank Tower. It stands at 634 feet (193 meters) and has 45 floors! It was finished in 2002. Before that, the Woodmen Tower was the tallest for a long time. It's 478 feet (146 meters) tall with 30 floors and was built in 1969.

Most of Omaha's tallest buildings are in the downtown area. But some are also in Midtown Omaha, like the Elmwood Tower and the Mutual of Omaha Building. The University of Nebraska Medical Center in Midtown also has some tall buildings, including the Lied Transplant Center.

Get ready for a new tallest building! In 2022, the Mutual of Omaha company announced plans for a new headquarters downtown. This new tower will be even taller, reaching 677 feet (206 meters) with 44 floors. Construction started in early 2023, and it's expected to be finished in 2026. It will be the new champion of Omaha's skyline!
