How Little Greek Fresh Grill Started
Finding the First Restaurant
Sigrid Bratic came to Florida looking for a chance to start her own business. She was working in the restaurant world. There, she found a small Greek restaurant for sale. It was called Happy Greek and was located in Palm Harbor.
On June 1, 2004, Sigrid bought the restaurant. It was not doing very well at the time. The first restaurant was at 320 East Lake Road in Palm Harbor. Sigrid later changed its name to "Little Greek." After she made some changes, the restaurant started to sell much more food.
Growing the Business
Nick Vojnovic joined the Little Greek team. He had been the president of Beef O'Brady's for twelve years. On April 27, 2011, Sigrid and Nick became partners. Their goal was to open many more Little Greek restaurants. They planned to open them all over the Tampa Bay area and across the United States.
In April 2012, the company opened a new kind of restaurant. It had a fresh, updated look. This new design helped the company grow even more.
By February 2015, Little Greek had 19 locations. These restaurants were in Florida, Arkansas, and Texas.
Becoming Little Greek Fresh Grill
In 2015, the company decided to study its name. The study suggested a name change. So, the company became "Little Greek Fresh Grill." They also started looking for places in Louisville, Kentucky. This would be their first restaurant in that state.
In July 2016, Bryan St.George joined the company. He became the Vice President of Operations. Later, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. He is also a part-owner of the company.
By January 2022, the company had 44 restaurants. These locations were in Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, and Texas.
