The Little Pigeon River is a short river in Cheboygan County, Michigan. It is about 6.0-mile-long (9.7 km). This river is an important part of the local water system.
The Little Pigeon River starts in Koehler Township. It begins in a wet, marshy area. This area gets its water from a smaller stream called Kimberly Creek. The river's starting point is about one mile north of a community called Afton.
The river mainly flows towards the north and west. It eventually empties into Mullett Lake at a spot called Pigeon River Bay. Interestingly, the Pigeon River also flows into Mullett Lake at almost the same place. For most of its path, the Little Pigeon River stays very close to the Pigeon River, usually less than 2 miles (3.2 km) away.
