Liza Lagorza Maza (born September 8, 1957) is a politician and activist from the Philippines. She was a main leader of the National Anti-Poverty Commission. This group works to help reduce poverty in the country. She served in this role during President Duterte's time in office, from August 2016 to August 2018. Before that, she was a member of the Philippine House of Representatives. There, she represented the Gabriela Women's Party, a group focused on women's rights.

About Liza Maza's Life
Liza Maza was born on September 8, 1957. She studied at the University of the Philippines Diliman. In 1978, she earned a degree in Business Economics. This education helped prepare her for her future work in public service.
Her Work in Government
Liza Maza has worked hard to create new laws and proposals in the Philippines. As a representative for Bayan Muna, she helped create 18 bills and 24 resolutions. Bills are ideas for new laws, and resolutions are official statements or decisions.
Later, as a representative for the Gabriela Women's Party, she was even more active. She helped create 53 bills and 120 resolutions. Many of these ideas became real laws.
