Ljubomir Kerekeš (born on January 16, 1960) is a famous Croatian actor. He has appeared in many films, television shows, and theatre plays. He is known for his versatile acting and has been working in the entertainment industry for over 40 years.

An Actor's Journey
Early Career and Theatre Work
Ljubomir Kerekeš started his acting career in 1980 in his hometown of Varaždin, Croatia. From 1982 to 1996, he was an important member of the theatre group at the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin. This is where he developed his skills on stage.
In 1996, he moved to the Kerempuh theatre in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Two years later, in 1998, he joined the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. He worked there until 2014, performing in many plays. In 2014, he returned to the National Theatre in Varaždin, where his journey began.
Film and Television Roles
Besides his work in theatre, Kerekeš has also starred in many Croatian TV series and movies. He is especially well-known in Croatia for his role as Major Aleksa in the very popular 1996 comedy film How the War Started on My Island. This movie helped make him a household name.
He also acted alongside famous Hollywood actor Richard Gere in the 2007 American action-thriller movie The Hunting Party. This showed his talent on an international level.
