Llagostera (pronounced ya-go-STEH-ra) is a cool town in Catalonia, Spain. It's a type of local area called a municipality. Llagostera is part of the Gironès region, which is known as a comarca.
This town is about 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of Girona city. It's also only 15 kilometers (9 miles) west of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. In the 20th century, Llagostera was famous for making cork products. Cork comes from the bark of cork oak trees.

The Old Railway Line
