Llambilles is a small village in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the province of Girona. This area is an autonomous community of Spain.

History of Llambilles
The first time Llambilles was mentioned in writing was in the year 999. Back then, it was called "Lambiliolas."
No one knows for sure where the name Llambilles comes from. It might be a very old name, even older than the Roman times.

The main way people make a living in Llambilles is through farming. This is called the primary sector. Farmers grow grains in the flat areas.

For most of the 1900s, the number of people living in Llambilles stayed around 400. But since the late 1900s, more houses have been built. This has caused the population to grow.

From 1892 to 1969, Llambilles had a special train line. This narrow train line connected the village to the city of Girona. It also went to the port of Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
Today, this old train line is no longer used for trains. Instead, it has been turned into a greenway. A greenway is a path for walking or cycling. It is a great way to enjoy nature.
