DENIP was one of the first ideas of its kind. It is a special day for schools around the world to learn about peace and non-violence. It is not run by the government and anyone can join in. In 2010, a group in Switzerland called the Cercle Universel des Ambassadeurs de la Paix named him an Ambassador of Peace. This means they recognized his important work for peace.
