The Lloyd Center Tower is a very tall office building in Portland, Oregon. It stands 88 meters (which is about 290 feet) high. With 20 floors, it's the tallest building in Portland located on the east side of the Willamette River.

Exploring the Lloyd Center Tower

The Lloyd Center Tower was designed by a company called John Graham & Associates. It was finished in 1981. Over the years, different companies have owned parts of the tower. For example, Durst Buildings Corp. sold it to PacifiCorp in 1994. Then, PacifiCorp sold half of its office space to Ashforth Pacific, Inc. in 1995.

Cool Features of the Tower

One neat thing about the Lloyd Center Tower is that it has a special bridge. This bridge connects the tall building to the Lloyd Center shopping mall. You can walk across Northeast 9th Avenue using this skybridge!

In 2001, the building won an important award. It received the local and regional Earth Award from the Building Owners and Managers Association. This award recognizes buildings that are managed well and are good for the environment.

Later, in 2007, a company called Integra Telecom moved its main offices into some of the top floors of the Lloyd Center Tower.
