Loarn
King of Dalriada
Reign 5th century
Successor Fergus Mór

Loarn, also known as Loarn mac Eirc, was a very early king of Dalriada. He likely ruled sometime in the 400s, which is the 5th century. He was followed by Fergus Mór, another king who passed away in the year 501.

Historians believe there might have been a gap in time between Loarn's rule and Fergus Mór's rule. This gap is called an interregnum. Some ideas suggest Loarn lived between the years 429 and 468, but this is just a theory.

His name, Loarn, means "Jerdan" or "Jordan" in modern English.
