Lobeznos facts for kids
Lobeznos is a small village in Spain, located in the province of Zamora. Its name, "Lobeznos," means "wolf cubs" in Spanish. This is because many wolves used to live in the area a long time ago.
The village is about 3.5 kilometers (a little over 2 miles) from a town called Puebla de Sanabria. It's also on the main road that connects Puebla de Sanabria to Bragança in Portugal.

Exploring Lobeznos' Special Buildings
Lobeznos has a couple of interesting old buildings that are important to the people who live there.
The Chapel of Holy Christ
This small chapel is called the Ermita del Santo Cristo in Spanish. It's a very special place for the villagers. Inside, there's a statue of the Holy Christ of the Ascension, which many people deeply respect.
Pregnant women in the village often visit this chapel. They pray nine "Creeds" (a type of prayer) while walking around the chapel. They do this to ask for protection and blessings for themselves and their babies. The chapel has been carefully restored recently, so it looks nice and welcoming.
The Church of Saint Eulalia
Another important building is the Iglesia de Santa Eulalia, or the Church of Saint Eulalia. You can find it in a part of the village known as "la Preira." This church is surrounded by the local cemetery, which is a quiet and peaceful place.
