A Glimpse into Lone Star's History
Lone Star once had its own post office! It first opened its doors in 1873. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office served the community for many years before it finally closed down in 1906. The name "Lone Star" might sound familiar because it's believed to be inspired by the nickname of Texas, which is often called the "Lone Star State".
