Loom is a small, unincorporated community in Hampshire County, West Virginia, USA. An unincorporated community is a place that doesn't have its own local government.
Loom is sometimes called Loom Cemetery. It is located between the towns of Capon Bridge and Hanging Rock. You can find Loom along the Northwestern Turnpike, which is also known as U.S. Route 50. It sits on the side of Cooper Mountain. Two other roads, Timber Mountain Road and Beck's Gap Road, also meet U.S. Route 50 right in Loom.
The name 'Loom' was chosen from a list of postal names because it was short and easy to remember.
