Deputy Lieutenants of Hertfordshire
A deputy lieutenant of Hertfordshire is a person who helps the Lord Lieutenant. They are chosen by the Lord Lieutenant to support their work in the county.
There can be several deputy lieutenants at one time. The number often depends on how many people live in the county. Their job doesn't end when a new Lord Lieutenant takes over. However, they usually retire when they turn 75 years old.
