The Los Angeles Charger Girls were a special dance team for the National Football League team, the Los Angeles Chargers. They were known for their exciting performances at home games.
History of the Charger Girls
The Charger Girls performed many different dance routines during the Chargers' home games. This dance team started in 1990. Besides dancing, the team members also acted as ambassadors for the Chargers. This means they represented the team at different events.
The Charger Girls also released a swimsuit calendar each year. They had a special program called Junior Charger Girls. Young performers in this program had to raise money for good causes. This money went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Chargers Community Foundation.
The group stopped performing in 2021. This decision was made for financial reasons.
