Lost Corner is a small, quiet place located in Pope County, Arkansas, in the United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and farms that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.

Why the Name "Lost Corner"?

This community wasn't always called Lost Corner. It used to be named "Okay." However, there was another place in Arkansas, in Howard County, that also went by the name "Okay." To avoid confusion between the two places, the community in Pope County decided to change its name.

The new name, Lost Corner, was chosen because of where the community is located. It's in a somewhat hidden or "backwoods" area. This makes it feel a bit like a "lost" or out-of-the-way "corner" of the county.

Where is Lost Corner Located?

Lost Corner is made up of a few farms spread out in Pope County. You can find it northeast of a town called Hector, also in Pope County. It's also quite close to the border of Van Buren County.

The community sits on a ridge, which is a long, narrow hilltop. To the east of this ridge, you'll find the south fork of the Little Red River. To the west, there's a waterway called the Illinois Bayou. This location gives Lost Corner a natural, rural feel.
