Charlotte Jean "Lotta" Hedlund (born Charlotte Jean Butler on March 10, 1944) is an American-Swedish singer. She has lived in Sweden since the late 1960s. Lotta is known for her work with the groups Sherrys and Hep Stars. She also gained fame as part of the duo Svenne & Lotta.

Lotta Hedlund's Music Journey
Lotta Hedlund began her singing career in a girl group called Sherrys. The Sherrys toured Sweden with a Swedish rock singer named Jerry Williams. After one of their shows, they met the Hep Stars. This group was very popular in Sweden during the 1960s.
Joining the Hep Stars
One of the members of the Hep Stars was Benny Andersson, who later became famous with ABBA. Another member was Sven "Svenne" Hedlund. Lotta and Svenne later got married. Lotta then joined the Hep Stars herself.
Forming Svenne & Lotta
After the Hep Stars, Lotta and Svenne formed a singing duo called Svenne & Lotta. In some countries, they were known as "Sven & Charlotte". This duo became very successful in the 1970s.
Eurovision Song Contest Success
In 1975, Svenne & Lotta took part in Melodifestivalen. This is the Swedish competition to choose a song for the Eurovision Song Contest. They sang a song called "Bang en boomerang". The song was written by the men from ABBA.
Svenne & Lotta also recorded the song in English as "Bang a boomerang". This version became a hit in several European countries. ABBA later recorded their own version of the song for one of their albums. Svenne & Lotta became one of the most popular groups ever in Denmark. They even recorded a song in the Danish language.
Lotta and Svenne toured Sweden as a duo and as solo artists. They continued performing until their divorce in 2014.

Lotta Hedlund was married to Swedish singer Svenne Hedlund. They were married from 1969 until their divorce in 2014. They were married for 45 years. Lotta and her family live in Sävsjö. This town is located in Småland, a region in southern Sweden.
