Louis "Lou" Thornton is an American former Major League Baseball player. He was born on April 26, 1963, in Montgomery, Alabama. Lou played as an Outfielder and was also known as a pinch runner during his career. He played in the major leagues for parts of five seasons between 1985 and 1990.

Lou Thornton started his Major League Baseball journey with the Toronto Blue Jays. His first game was on April 8, 1985. He played for the Blue Jays in 1985, and then again from 1987 to 1988.
