Loud's Music Journey
Starting Out as a Musician
Loud began his music career using the name Loudmouth. He picked this name when he was 14 years old. He used it while taking part in rap battles called WordUp!
In high school, he met Laurent Fortier-Brassard, known as Lary. Loud, Lary, and a producer named Ajust (Alex Guay) formed a group. They called themselves Loud Lary Ajust.
The group separated in 2016. After that, Loud started his solo career. His first solo recording was an EP called New Phone. It had four songs, including a popular one called 56K.
His First Big Album: Une année record
On November 3, 2017, Loud released his first full album. It was titled Une année record. This album became very popular.
Its success led to Loud's first concert in France. The venue was completely sold out! In 2018, he toured all over Quebec and France. On April 30, 2018, Loud was invited to a French TV show called Quotidien. He talked about his album there.
His song Toutes les femmes savent danser became a huge hit. It was the first rap song from Quebec to reach the top of the BDS prize list. This list shows the most popular songs on the radio.
In June 2018, Loud worked with Cœur de pirate. They released a song together called Dans la nuit.
A year and a half after it came out, Une année record was certified gold. This means it sold a lot of copies. His singles Nouveaux riches and Devenir immortel (et puis mourir) also went gold. Toutes les femmes savent danser even became certified platinum. This was a first for a rapper from Quebec!
His Second Album: Tout ça pour ça
On May 24, 2019, Loud released his second album. It was named Tout ça pour ça. The album's release party was held a week later. More than 8,000 fans came to the Bell Centre in Montreal!
