Louis Henri de Pardaillan, the Marquis of Montespan, was an important French nobleman. He was born in 1640 and lived until 1701. He is mostly known as the husband of Françoise de Rochechouart, who was a very famous lady at the French court. Louis Henri also held a special role as a "knight of honour" for Elisabeth Charlotte of the Palatinate, a royal princess.
