Louisa Clare Harland is an actress from Ireland. She was born in Dublin. She is famous for playing Orla McCool in the TV show Derry Girls. This show was on Channel 4 from 2018 to 2022. Louisa also plays the main character in the Disney+ series Renegade Nell, which started in 2024.

Early Life
Louisa Harland grew up in Dundrum, a part of South Dublin. She has two older sisters named Katie and Ellie. When she was younger, she was part of a youth theatre group called Ann Kavanagh Youth Theatre. Later, she went to the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London to study acting.
Her Acting Career
TV Shows and Movies
After finishing her acting school, Louisa got her first TV role in 2011. She played a character named Kayleigh in the second season of the RTÉ One show Love/Hate. She also appeared in a movie called Standby in 2014. In 2017, she was in Lost in London, a film by Woody Harrelson.
In 2017, Louisa Harland was chosen for a big role. She became Orla McCool in the popular TV comedy Derry Girls. Orla is the funny cousin of the main character, Erin Quinn. The show became very popular. The first season aired in 2018, and the second in 2019. The final season and a special episode came out in 2022.
In 2020, Louisa and her Derry Girls co-stars did a special comedy sketch. They performed with actress Saoirse Ronan for a fundraising event called RTÉ Does Comic Relief. This event raised money to help people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. That same year, Louisa also appeared in the movie Boys from County Hell.
More recently, Louisa Harland took on the main role in the 2024 Disney+ series Renegade Nell. She plays Nell Jackson, a brave and adventurous character.
