The Story of Love School
The community of Love got its name from an early settler. His name was George E. Love. In 1890, Mr. Love gave some of his land. This land was used to build one of the very first schools in the county.
This school was called "Love School." It became a very important place for the people living in this rural area. It wasn't just for learning! The school building was also used for many other community activities. People gathered there for church services and Sunday school. It was also a place for general community meetings. This shows how schools were often the heart of small, developing communities long ago.
