Lubāna is a charming town in Latvia. It is located in the Madona Municipality, within the Vidzeme region. The beautiful Aiviekste river flows right by the town.
Lubāna officially became a town in 1992. Its population is around 1,453 people as of 2024. The town has a special emblem. It shows a golden duck on a blue background at the top. Below that are three wavy lines, with the top line being silver and the bottom two blue.
