Lubomir Tsvetanov Kirov (Bulgarian: Любо Киров) is a well-known Bulgarian pop singer and music producer. He was the main singer for the band Te. He also judged the music show X Factor for two seasons.
Early Life
Lubo Kirov was born in Pleven, Bulgaria. He later studied at the National Academy of Arts.
Music Career
Before becoming a pop star, Lubo Kirov played drums for a band called Mortal Remains. Later, he joined another group named Mr. White. They recorded a song together called "Something funny."
With the Band TE
From 2000 to 2007, Lubo was a key member of the popular band TE. They released two successful albums: "Pronouns" and "Different." These albums featured many hit songs, including "Are there flowers" and "I'll find you." The band also won an award for their "TE Unplugged" DVD.
During this time, TE performed at big music events. They opened for famous bands like Simply Red and Incognito. The group also took part in important campaigns, such as "Sport against drugs."
Solo Career
In 2007, Lubo Kirov left TE to start his solo music journey. His first solo song, "Again, I believe," won a radio competition called "Golden Spring."
In 2010, Lubo released his first solo album, "Lubo 2010." This album included popular songs like "I Can" and "Govori Mi na Ti." It also featured "You and I," which he sang with the group people from the ghetto. Another song, "Tonight," was a duet with Italian singer Alessia D'Andrea.
Lubo Kirov has also sung as a guest artist on many other music projects. His song "Life is beautiful" with Zhivko Petrov became very popular. Its music video was watched over a million times!
In 2021 and 2022, Lubo Kirov was a judge on The Voice of Bulgaria. This show helps new singers find their voice.
