Lucero is the tenth music album by the famous Mexican pop singer and actress Lucero. It was released in 1993. Many people also know this album by the name Veleta, which is one of its most popular songs.
This album was special because it was the first time Lucero's music was released only on CDs and cassettes. Older albums used to be available on LPs (large vinyl records). This album was very successful! It sold over 350,000 copies of its special edition. In total, it is believed to have sold more than 1 million copies. This earned it two gold albums and one platinum award, showing how popular it was.

Hit Songs from the Album
The first song released from the album was "Veleta" (which means "Vane"). This song became a huge hit! It reached the number one spot in Mexico. "Veleta" also reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks charts in the United States. This was one of Lucero's highest-charting songs ever.
The second song, "Sobreviviré" (meaning "I Will Survive"), was also a big success. It hit number one in Mexico and reached number 8 in the United States. These songs helped make the Lucero album very well-known.

This was Lucero's fourth album to appear on the Billboard music charts. The album spent seven weeks on the Latin Pop Albums chart. It even reached the top 10, peaking at number 10. It also stayed on the Top Latin Albums chart for 13 weeks, reaching number 19.
