Luchegorsk (pronounced Loo-che-gorsk) is a town-like place in Primorsky Krai, Russia. It's called an "urban-type settlement." This means it's bigger than a village but not quite a city. Luchegorsk is also the main town of Pozharsky District. In 2010, about 21,000 people lived there.
History of Luchegorsk
Luchegorsk was started in 1966. It was built on the banks of the Kontrovod River.

Luchegorsk has a very big electric power station. This power station creates electricity for the whole Primorsky Krai region. However, it also causes some environmental concerns for the town.
This area is also known for being close to where the Sino-Soviet border conflict happened. This was a disagreement between China and the Soviet Union a long time ago.
