The Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum, often called the Lucy Desi Museum, is a fun place to visit in Jamestown, New York. It's connected to the National Comedy Center. This museum is all about the amazing lives and careers of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Lucille Ball, a famous comedian, was even born in Jamestown!

The museum first opened its doors in 1996. By 2015, about 25,000 people from all over the world visited it each year. The National Comedy Center, which is also about comedy, opened later in 2016.

What You Can See at the Museum

When you visit the museum, you can see many interesting things. They have re-created sets from the famous TV show I Love Lucy. This includes the well-known living room from the show.

The museum also shows off the work of Desilu Studios in a building next door. You can find many items that belonged to Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz here. This includes Lucille Ball's special Emmy Awards. There's even a party room called the Tropicana Room. It looks just like Ricky Ricardo's nightclub from the TV show!

The Comedy Festival

The museum used to have "Lucy-Desi Days" every May. These days included talks with people who knew Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz very well.

In 1991, the National Comedy Center started the annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival. This festival happens every August to celebrate Lucille Ball's birthday, which is on August 6. Many famous comedians have performed at this festival. Some of them include Ray Romano, Ellen DeGeneres, Jay Leno, and Joan Rivers. It's a great way to enjoy lots of laughs and remember Lucille Ball!
