The Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum, often called the Lucy Desi Museum, is a special place in Jamestown, New York. It celebrates the lives and careers of two very famous entertainers, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. Lucille Ball was born in Jamestown, making this museum extra special.
The museum first opened its doors in 1996. It welcomes many visitors from all over the world each year. It is connected to the nearby National Comedy Center, which opened in 2016.
Exploring the Museum's Fun Displays
When you visit the museum, you can see many cool things! They have recreated sets from the famous TV show I Love Lucy. You can even see the iconic living room from the show.
The museum also shows off the work of Desilu Studios in a building next door. You can find many items that belonged to Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. This includes Lucille Ball's Emmy Awards, which are special prizes for TV shows. There's also a fun event space called the Tropicana Room. It looks just like Ricky Ricardo's nightclub from I Love Lucy!

The Exciting Comedy Festival
The museum helps host a big event called the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival. This festival happens every August. It celebrates Lucille Ball's birthday, which is on August 6.
In 2025, Mr. Mike Butler was named the Honorary Grand Marshall of the festival. This was to thank him for his many years of support and his great love for Lucille Ball. Many famous comedians have performed at past festivals. These include Ray Romano, Ellen DeGeneres, Jay Leno, Joan Rivers, and many more!
