Ludi Lin (Chinese: 林路迪; pinyin: Lín Lùdí) is a talented Chinese-Canadian actor and model. He is well-known for playing exciting characters like Zack Taylor (the Black Ranger) in the 2017 Power Rangers movie. He also played Murk, an underwater warrior, in Aquaman (2018). More recently, he took on the role of Liu Kang in the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie.

Early Life and Education
Ludi Lin was born in Fuzhou, China, on November 11, 1987. When he was just three years old, his family moved to Hong Kong.
At age nine, Lin went to boarding schools in Sydney, Australia. He spent most of his childhood there. Moving around meant his accent changed often, and he sometimes felt like an outsider. He has shared that he learned street fighting to defend himself because of his different accents.
When he was 17, Lin moved to Vancouver, Canada, for university. He studied at the University of British Columbia, earning degrees in both Dietetics (which is about nutrition and healthy eating) and Theatre Performance. He also studied acting for film and TV in Los Angeles. Today, Lin lives in both Vancouver and Beijing.
Acting Career Highlights
Ludi Lin began his acting journey by appearing in short films. His first big role in a U.S. movie was in Power Rangers, where he played the Black Ranger.
He also tried out for other major roles. He auditioned for Shang-Chi in the Marvel movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). He also auditioned for Spike Spiegel in the live-action Cowboy Bebop TV series. Lin is a big fan of the original anime that the show was based on.

Personal Life and Interests
Ludi Lin is a very athletic person. He has trained in many different sports and martial arts. These include snowboarding, scuba diving, muay thai, jiu-Jitsu, and Olympic-style wrestling.
He is also very good at languages. He can speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese fluently.
Around 2016, Lin became a vegan. This means he chooses not to eat any animal products. He believes it's good for the Earth, good for his body, and kind to animals. He sees it as a way of eating that can be sustained for a long time.
Lin enjoys comic books, manga, and anime. He is also an activist who speaks out for better representation of Asian people in media. He also works against racism towards Asian communities, supporting movements like Stop Asian Hate.
