Ludwigslust-Parchim facts for kids
Ludwigslust-Parchim Rural District (German: Landkreis Ludwigslust-Parchim) is a special type of area called a rural district in Germany. It is located in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
This district is quite large, covering about 4,752 square kilometers (which is roughly 1,835 square miles). In 2016, around 214,000 people lived in this area.
The main city, or capital, of the district is Parchim.
Ludwigslust-Parchim Rural District was created on September 4, 2011. It was formed by joining two older districts: the Ludwigslust Rural District and the Parchim Rural District.
