Luis Manuel Seijas Gunther (born June 23, 1986) is a retired Venezuelan footballer. He played as a midfielder, which means he helped both with defense and offense in the middle of the field. Seijas played for many different clubs in several countries and also represented his home country, Venezuela, in international matches.

Playing for Different Teams
Luis Seijas started his football journey in Venezuela. After playing well with youth teams, he moved to Argentina to play for a club called Banfield. Later, he returned to Venezuela and made a big impression playing for Deportivo Táchira.
His talent then took him to Colombia, where he joined Santa Fe. This team was trying to become strong again, and Luis helped them a lot.
In 2011, Luis signed a three-year contract with a big club in Belgium called Standard Liège. He played there for a couple of years before moving to Ecuador to play for Deportivo Quito in 2013.
A year later, in 2014, Luis Seijas returned to Santa Fe in Colombia. This was a very special time because he helped the team win the 2015 Copa Sudamericana. This is a very important football tournament for clubs in South America, similar to a big championship!
Later, in 2016, Luis joined Internacional in Brazil. He also played for Chapecoense on loan for a while. His last club was Phoenix Rising FC in the United States, where he played until 2022.
Playing for His Country
Luis Seijas also played for the Venezuelan national team. He made his first appearance for his country in 2006. He played in many important games for Venezuela, including the Copa América tournaments in 2011, 2015, and 2016. He scored two goals for his country during his international career.
