Lukas Rieger was born in Hanover, Germany. His parents are Michael and Birgit.
In 2014, Lukas took part in a TV show called The Voice Kids. This show helps young singers get discovered. He sang the song "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore. One of the judges, Lena Meyer-Landrut, chose him for her team. Even though he didn't reach the finals, it was a great start to his career.
After The Voice Kids, Lukas started building his fan base online. He became very popular on social media. By March 2017, he had over 1.7 million followers on Instagram. On the app TikTok (which used to be called Musical.ly), he had more than 2.4 million fans. His YouTube channel also grew quickly. By December 2016, he had over 410,000 subscribers and his videos had been watched over 21 million times!
In October 2016, Lukas released his first album, Compass. He planned special events where fans could meet him. These events were so popular that huge crowds of fans came to see him. For example, in Stuttgart, over 2,000 fans showed up! Because so many people wanted to meet him, his team decided it was safer to stop organizing these "meet-and-greet" events.
In 2018, Lukas released his second album, "Code." He then went on tour. He performed in many cities across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
In 2019, Lukas tried something new. He joined the 12th season of the German dance show Let's Dance on RTL. He danced with his partner Katja Kalugina. They were eliminated in the third episode because they didn't get enough votes from viewers. Also in 2019, Lukas acted in a movie! He played a singer named Marlon in the film Mein Lotta-Leben - Alles Bingo mit Flamingo!. This movie is based on a popular children's book series.
