Luke Mitchell is an Australian actor born on April 17, 1985. He is known for his roles in popular TV shows. He started his acting journey after training at a special film and TV school.
Some of his early roles included Chris Knight in Neighbours and Will in H2O: Just Add Water. He became very well-known for playing Romeo Smith in the Australian soap opera Home and Away from 2009 to 2013. For this role, he won a Logie Award in 2010.
Later, Luke Mitchell moved to American television. He starred as John Young in The Tomorrow People. He also played Lincoln Campbell, an Inhuman, in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. From 2016, he was a main character, Roman, in the show Blindspot.

Early life and interests
Luke Mitchell was born on April 17, 1985, and grew up in Gold Coast, Australia. He has three brothers named Michael, Daniel, and Benjamin, and a younger sister named Bree.
For many years, Luke played tennis. He started when he was five and played until he was nineteen. His younger brother, Ben, is a professional tennis player. Luke went to Nerang State High School. He also enjoys bodyboarding, being outdoors, and watching movies.
Acting career highlights
Luke Mitchell trained at the Film and Television Studio International. He learned from experienced actors and directors. He also toured Australia with a live theatre company called Sudden Impact Entertainment.
Early TV roles
While working in Melbourne, Luke got a guest role in the TV show Neighbours. He appeared in 11 episodes. After that, he moved back to the Gold Coast to play Will in the third season of H2O: Just Add Water. This show was about mermaids and was very popular.
In 2008, Luke also filmed a movie called Performance Anxiety.
Becoming a star in Australia
In June 2009, Luke moved to Sydney. He began playing Romeo Smith in Home and Away, a very popular Australian TV show. His role as Romeo made him famous. In 2010, he won a Logie Award for being the Most Popular New Male Talent. He left Home and Away in 2013 after four years.
Moving to American TV
After Home and Away, Luke Mitchell started working on American TV shows. In 2013, he was cast as John Young in The Tomorrow People on The CW network.
In 2015, he joined the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. He played Lincoln Campbell, a character with special powers called an Inhuman. He was a main character in the third season of the show.
After Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke joined Blindspot in 2016. He played the character Roman. He was a main actor in this show for several seasons.
Recent projects
In 2018, Luke Mitchell played Captain John "Abe" Abraham in the CBS drama The Code. He also appeared in the 2021 film Without Remorse alongside Michael B. Jordan.
He played Danny Cooper in The Republic of Sarah in 2021. In 2022, he joined Legacies as Ken, the King of the Gods. He also appeared in Big Sky and the Hallmark Channel movie A Pinch of Portugal. More recently, he has been seen as Dr. Mitch Ripley in Chicago Med.
Personal life
Luke Mitchell once shared a house with his H2O: Just Add Water co-stars Burgess Abernethy, Phoebe Tonkin, and Cariba Heine.
In 2009, Luke started dating his Home and Away co-star Rebecca Breeds. They got engaged in 2012 and married in January 2013. In November 2024, they shared the happy news that they are expecting their first child.
