Luke Mitchell is an Australian actor. He was born on April 17, 1985. Luke started his acting journey at the Film and Television Studio International.
He first became known for playing Chris Knight in the TV show Neighbours in 2008. The next year, he appeared as Will in the third season of H2O: Just Add Water. From 2009 to 2013, Luke starred as Romeo Smith in the popular show Home and Away. For this role, he won a Logie Award in 2010 for Most Popular New Male Talent.
Later, Luke moved to American TV shows. In 2013, he played John Young in The Tomorrow People. He then joined Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 2015 as Lincoln Campbell, an Inhuman. He became a main character for the show's third season. In 2016, he joined Blindspot as Roman, also as a main cast member.

Early Life and Interests
Luke Mitchell grew up on the Gold Coast, Queensland in Australia. He has three brothers, Michael, Daniel, and Benjamin, and a younger sister named Bree. His younger brother, Ben, is a talented tennis player.
Luke himself played tennis for many years, from age five to nineteen. He even thought about becoming a professional tennis player. However, he decided to focus on other interests instead. Luke went to Nerang State High School.
Acting Career Highlights
Luke Mitchell trained with many acting professionals. He also toured Australia with a live theatre company called Sudden Impact Entertainment.
Early TV Roles
While in Melbourne, Luke got a guest role as Chris Knight in Neighbours. He appeared in 11 episodes of the show. After that, he moved back to the Gold Coast. There, he played Will in the third season of H2O: Just Add Water. In 2008, Luke also filmed a movie called Performance Anxiety.
Success on Home and Away
In June 2009, Luke moved to Sydney. He began playing Romeo Smith in the popular Australian show Home and Away. His performance as Romeo earned him the 2010 Logie Award for Most Popular New Male Talent. After four years on the show, Luke decided to leave Home and Away in 2013.
Moving to American Television
After Home and Away, Luke was cast as John Young in The CW's show Tomorrow People in February 2013. In July 2014, he joined the cast of Members Only as Jesse. However, that show was canceled before it even aired.
In February 2015, Luke joined Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Lincoln Campbell. He became a main character for the third season. After leaving Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke was cast as Roman in Blindspot. He wasn't sure about the role at first, but he sent in an audition tape and got the part.
In August 2018, Luke was chosen for the main role of Captain John "Abe" Abraham in the CBS drama The Code. This series ran for one season. Luke also played Rowdy in Without Remorse, a movie released in 2021.
He then played Danny in The CW drama The Republic of Sarah, which aired in 2021. In April 2022, he was cast as Ken, the King of the Gods, in the fourth season of Legacies.
Luke also joined the cast of Big Sky for its third season. He played Cormac, the son of Sunny Barnes. In 2023, he starred as Russ in the Hallmark Channel TV movie A Pinch of Portugal. Luke has also appeared as Dr. Mitch Ripley in Chicago Med since 2024. His role on the show has grown over time.
Personal Life
Luke Mitchell once shared a house with his H2O: Just Add Water co-stars Burgess Abernethy, Phoebe Tonkin, and Cariba Heine. He enjoys bodyboarding, being in nature, and going to the movies.
In 2009, Luke started dating his Home and Away co-star Rebecca Breeds. They got engaged in May 2012 and were married in January 2013. In November 2024, Rebecca announced that they were expecting their first child. Their son was born on February 20, 2025.
