Luss Parish Church is a special church in Luss, Scotland. It belongs to the Church of Scotland and is dedicated to Saint Kessog.

The church building you see today was built in 1875. It was also carefully repaired in 2001. This church became very famous in the 1980s. It was used as the local church for the made-up village of Glendarroch in a popular TV show called Take the High Road.

This church site has been a place of Christian worship for 1,500 years! It was first started by Saint Kessog. The church graveyard also has fifteen very old monuments.

Luss Parish Church is a very popular spot for visitors. On busy summer days, more than 2,000 people come to see it. This helps the local economy by bringing in about £5 million each year. Even though only about 400 people live in the area, the church gets around 750,000 visitors every year!

In recent times, the church has started using the internet. They broadcast their church services online for everyone to watch.

The church also lets people use its beautiful location by Loch Lomond for weddings. This is a bit unusual for churches, but it's very popular! In 2009, 153 weddings were held there. Some famous people have even gotten married at Luss Parish Church, including Kirsty Hume, Donovan Leitch, Noel Edmonds, Helen Soby, Sarah Heaney, and Ed Adams.

Visitor Centre

In 2010, the church celebrated 1,500 years of worship. To mark this special occasion, they opened a new visitor centre for Luss. This happened after the National Parks Authority sold its building to a Scottish soap company called Purdies.
