Lyndhurst is a small village in New South Wales, Australia. It's located in the Blayney Shire area. The village is about 269 kilometres west of Sydney. It is also 63 kilometres south-west of Bathurst. Lyndhurst is found just off the Mid-Western Highway.

Long ago, Lyndhurst was an important centre. It provided basic goods for the nearby Junction Reefs goldfields. This was a place where people mined for gold. In 2016, a count showed that 267 people lived in Lyndhurst.

In 1908, Lyndhurst was considered as a possible site for Australia's national capital. It was one of ten places on a special list. Other places included Albury and Orange.
