Lyndon John X has family roots from Grenada, an island country. He grew up in a city called Cambridge in Ontario, Canada. His birth name is Lyndon John. He decided to add the letter "X" to his performing name. He did this to honor Malcolm X, a very important historical figure.
His Musical Journey
Lyndon John X released his first album in 2007. It was called Two Chord Skankin’. This album helped him get noticed! He even received his first nomination for a Juno Award in the reggae music category in 2008.
He continued to make more music. In 2010, he released another album called Brighter Days. This album was also nominated for a Juno Award in 2011. Later, in 2015, he released Escape from the Mongoose Gang. This album also earned him a Juno Award nomination in 2016.

Lyndon John X's hard work paid off in 2019 with his album The Warning Track. This album was a huge success! It won the Juno Award for Reggae Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2020. This is a big achievement in Canadian music!
