Lyubov Ivanovna Yegorova (born May 5, 1966) is a famous Russian cross-country skier. She is known for winning many Olympic and World Championship medals. Lyubov Yegorova was also a winner of the World Cup in 1993. She has been honored as a Hero of Russia. She is an honorary citizen of Seversk, Saint Petersburg, and Tomsk Oblast.

Lyubov Yegorova's Skiing Career
Lyubov Yegorova had an amazing career in cross-country skiing. She won many medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. These included three gold medals and several silver and bronze medals.
Olympic Games Success
Yegorova was incredibly successful at the Winter Olympics. She won a total of nine medals. Six of these were gold medals, and three were silver. She was the top athlete at both the 1992 Albertville Olympics and the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics. In 1994, she also received the Holmenkollen medal, a very special award in skiing.

- Gold in the 10 km pursuit
- Gold in the 15 km classical
- Gold in the 4 × 5 km relay
- Silver in the 5 km classical
- Silver in the 30 km freestyle
- At the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics, she won:
- Gold in the 5 km classical
- Gold in the 10 km pursuit
- Gold in the 4 × 5 km relay
- Silver in the 15 km freestyle
World Championship Achievements
Lyubov Yegorova also achieved great success at the World Championships. She earned six medals in total.

World Cup Victories
Yegorova also competed in the FIS Cross-Country World Cup. She won the overall World Cup title in the 1992–93 season. Throughout her career, she had 13 individual victories and stood on the podium 41 times. She also helped her team win 12 times in relay races.
A Difficult Moment
After the 1997 World Championships in Trondheim, Lyubov Yegorova was disqualified from a competition. This happened because she used a substance that was not allowed in sports. She had won a gold medal in the 5 km event, but it was taken away.
Returning to Competition
After her disqualification, Lyubov Yegorova took a break from competing. She later returned to ski in the 2002 Winter Olympics. However, she did not win any medals at those Games.
Personal Life
Lyubov Yegorova is the mother of Viktor Sysoyev.
