1992 Winter Olympics facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

The 1992 Winter Olympics, officially called the XVI Olympic Winter Games, took place in 1992 in Albertville, France. These were very special games!

They were the last Winter Olympics to happen in the same year as the Summer Olympics. Also, for the first time ever, the Winter Paralympics were held in the same place as the Winter Olympics. This meant athletes with disabilities could compete right after the main Olympic Games, which was a big step forward for sports!
