Lyudmyla Oleksandrivna Yanukovych was born on October 9, 1949. She is known as the former wife of Viktor Yanukovych, who was once the President of Ukraine. Because of her marriage, she also served as the First Lady of Ukraine. The First Lady is usually the wife of a country's leader.

Early Life and Education
Lyudmyla Oleksandrivna Nastenko was born in a city called Yenakiieve. This city is located in the Donetsk Oblast region of Ukraine. She went to college and graduated from the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
Career and Family Life
After finishing her studies, Lyudmyla worked at the Yenakiyeve Iron and Steel Works. This was a large factory that made metal products. She worked in a special office that helped design and check building plans. She was also a specialist for a company called Enakievmetalurgbud Trust.
In 1971, she married Viktor Yanukovych. They were married for 45 years before they divorced in 2016. Lyudmyla and Viktor had two sons together. Their names are Oleksandr and Viktor. They also have three grandsons: Viktor, Oleksandr, and Iliya. Their younger son, Viktor, was a member of the Ukrainian Parliament from 2006 to 2014. Sadly, he passed away in 2015.
During the time her husband was president, Lyudmyla Yanukovych reportedly lived in Donetsk. When a conflict began in the Donbas region in 2014, she is said to have moved to Crimea.
