Márcio Ferreira Nobre (born November 6, 1980) is a Brazilian former footballer. He is also known as Mert Nobre. He played as a striker. After his playing career, he became a football manager.

Márcio Nobre spent about 15 years playing football in Turkey. He became a Turkish citizen in 2006. Later, he started his coaching career in Turkey. His first main manager job was with Gençlerbirliği in August 2020.

Playing Career: Scoring Goals

Márcio Nobre started his professional football journey in Brazil. He played for clubs like Paraná and Cruzeiro. He was known for scoring many goals.

In 2004, he moved to Turkey. He joined Fenerbahçe, one of Turkey's biggest clubs. He quickly became a key player there. After Fenerbahçe, he played for Beşiktaş. He spent five years with Beşiktaş, from 2006 to 2011. He scored many important goals for them.

Nobre also played for other Turkish teams. These included Mersin İdmanyurdu, Kayserispor, and BB Erzurumspor. He was a very consistent goal scorer throughout his time in Turkey. He ended his playing career with Gençlerbirliği in 2019. Overall, he played over 500 games and scored more than 230 goals.

Becoming a Turkish Citizen

Because he lived and played in Turkey for so long, Márcio Nobre became a Turkish citizen. This happened in 2006. He is also known by his Turkish name, Mert Nobre. This shows how much he became a part of Turkish football.
