Dr. Madakasira Vasantha Padma Srivastava, born in 1965, is a famous Indian doctor who specializes in the brain. She is a neurologist, which means she helps people with brain and nerve problems. Dr. Srivastava is currently the head of Neurology at Paras Healthcare in Gurugram. She is well-known for starting the "Code-Red" program. This program helps people who have had a stroke very quickly. She also helped people with epilepsy. In 2016, the Indian government gave her a special award called the Padma Shri. This award was for her important work in medicine.
Dr. Padma Srivastava's Journey
Padma Srivastava was born in 1965. She earned her advanced degree in neurology in 1990. This was from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). She then began her career at the same institute. She became a professor of neurology there.
One of her biggest contributions is the "Code-Red" program at AIIMS. This program helps people who have a stroke get treatment very fast. It was one of the first programs of its kind in public hospitals in India. She also helped set up a full program for people with epilepsy at AIIMS. Dr. Srivastava has worked on government-funded research. This research focuses on stroke and cerebral palsy.
