MGR Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam was founded by S. Thirunavukkarasu. This party was split from the Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam to join the BJP alliance. MGR ADMK was part of National Democratic Alliance. It took part in the Central government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Later was merged with BJP.
