MV Bill, whose real name is Alexandre Pereira Barbosa, was born on January 3, 1974. He is a famous Brazilian rap singer, actor, and songwriter. He also helped write a popular book called Falcão - Meninos do Tráfico. The letters "MV" in his name mean "Mensageiro da Verdade", which is Portuguese for "Messenger of Truth". His nickname "Bill" came from a toy he loved as a child.
MV Bill is known as one of the most important rappers in Brazilian hip hop from Rio de Janeiro. He uses his music to talk about important social issues. He started a group of organizations called CUFA in Rio. These groups teach kids hip-hop skills like graffiti and break dancing. They also offer educational classes, such as computer training.
