Macedonia is a small, quiet place in Williamson County, Texas, in the United States. It used to be a community, but it's not a town with its own local government anymore. This kind of place is called an unincorporated community.
You can find Macedonia in the northeastern part of Williamson County. It's located near Farm to Market Road 971 and a stream called Opossum Creek. It's about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southwest of a town named Granger. By 1988, only a cemetery remained from the original settlement.
Education in Macedonia
Macedonia once had its own school. In 1900, the school had 99 students learning there. Over time, fewer students attended the school. In 1949, the Macedonia school joined with the Palacky school. This meant students from Macedonia would then go to the Palacky school instead.
