Macusani is a town located in southern Peru. It is the main town, or capital, of the Carabaya Province. This province is part of the larger Puno Region in Peru. Macusani is known for its very high altitude.

Macusani is situated high up in the Andes mountains. Its elevation is about 4,315 meters (14,157 feet) above sea level. This high location greatly affects the town's weather and environment.
